Alkaline Water Provides Relief from Acid Reflux

Alkaline Water Provides Relief from Acid Reflux Heartburn and Stomach Acid are Real Problems

Over 60 million Americans  experience acid reflux at least once a month. With so many people suffering from painful symptoms, it's no surprise that heartburn medication is the second most prescribed class of drugs in the U.S. Over acidity can be almost crippling, and it makes people dread their next meal. Many people with acid reflux have to stop eating the food and drinks they are accustomed to.

People with GERD may experience ease of their symptoms from drinking alkaline water. Drinking water actually raises the pH of your stomach, diluting stomach acid, and then clears out your esophagus.

RefluxMD.com conducted a study to test out a theory of the effects of drinking alkaline water on people with GERD. (1) During a 12-day study, the participants were asked to drink alkaline water (9 pH) and reduce their acid reflux medication intake. The study results were astounding, revealing that those with more than 5 days of reported that all participants experienced a 75% reduction in acid reflux symptoms. "Considering that this group used substantially less medication during the 12-days of alkaline water usage, we believe that alkaline water was effective as both a symptom reliever and as a substitute for their medications – possibly better than their current anti-reflux medications." -Bruce

Alkaline Water's Evil Twin

Alkaline Water's Evil Twin

AlkNatural vs. Unnatural Alkaline Water.

Did you know that there's actually two different types of alkaline water? You've probably heard of electric ionizers. Once you saw the price tag and picked your jaw up off the floor, you were probably assured that electrically ionized water was both "safe" and "good for you". There's always more to the story, and today we're going to talk about what's really up with electrically charged water.
The way to measure the pH of water is to use pH testing strips or fluid drops. An alkaline pH reading can be a result of 2 things: 1) Natural pH or 2) Unnatural pH. So, lets say we were going to compare two seemingly identical waters. They both have the same pH readout, 9.0 for our example. They may look alike, they may both be alkaline, and they may both come out of an alkaline system, but the truth is that one is an impostor. The first water is artificial and electrically charged (which makes it dangerous to health). It's counterpart, on the other hand, is both alkaline and natural. The second is a mimic to what you find in a natural stream. It's got your best intentions in mind. Which would you choose to drink?

Ionizers: Unnatural Electric Water? Electric Water ionizers actually split apart water molecules with electricity to make artificial alkaline water. How so? All of the water found in nature has a pH that perfectly corresponds to the minerals in the water. So what happens when you drink any alkaline water, is your body assumes it is receiving alkaline minerals, like calcium and magnesium. The problem with drinking electrically ionized water is that your body will assume it's receiving more alkaline minerals than there are in the water. Health issues typically ensue.

Paying an enormous amount of money for an electric ionizer which produces artificially alkaline water seems crazy, right? Well, for the giant companies manufacturing electric ionizers, making safer, just as effective natural alkaline water machines costs more. Plus, it would be difficult to change gears after accumulating so much profit, flooding the market with electric ionizers, and sticking to their guns. We can't expect them to stop producing electric water ionizers, but we can choose naturally alkaline water. Customers just don't know the difference between the two systems, and need to be educated on the issue. Stepping into the future, better systems are now affordable and easy to install. Natural alkaline water machines are the clear choice. Water-Revolution has a wide range of all-natural alkaline water systems available.

R.O. Water Unsafe

R.O. Water Unsafe

R. Scientists Expose the Dangerous Truth About R.O. Water After studying hundreds of scientific studies concerning reverse osmosis or demineralized water, the World Health Organization released a 163 page report, which stated that such water "has a definite adverse influence on the animal and human organism." (1)

The World Health Organization clearly points out that there is more than meets the eye to water without toxins. Removing toxins just isn't enough! In a perfect world, we would be getting all of our necessary nutrients from food, but we all know that simply isn't the case.

For example, nearly 10% of women have iron deficiency, which can lead to anemia. Another health concern: Manganese deficiency. Being deficient in manganese can disrupt the entire function of the body, as the mineral is super important in regards to balancing our hormones. These minerals, as well as any other minerals originally in water, are stripped away during the R.O. process.

Scientists have studied this extensively. The conclusion has been reached that reduced mineral intake from water is not compensated for by diet, and that low-mineral water was responsible for an increased elimination of minerals from the body. So all in all, drinking water stripped of minerals will eliminate your body's minerals, which can be dangerous and even leave you deficient. This can happen in only a few months.

In 2000-2002, studies were conducted in Czech and Slovak populations who began using reverse osmosis-based systems for the final treatment of drinking water in their homes. Just in several weeks or months time, multiple health complaints suggestive of acute magnesium (and possibly calcium) deficiency were reported. People reported cardiovascular disorders, tiredness, weakness or muscular cramps.

While you may imagine that drinking more water will not only properly hydrate you, but also give your body more electrolytes, that just isn't the case. Scientists have stated that consumption of reverse osmosis water leads to the dilution of the electrolytes dissolved in the body water.

Now, after all of this has been examined and understood, there are still advantages to drinking reverse osmosis water. If you live in a specific area with bad drinking water, contaminated with pesticides and the like, reverse osmosis treated water can be a very safe way to "clean" bad water and make it more safe and drinkable. It's also one of the only options when you're traveling or camping outdoors, as you can't always trust local water or you just don't know what type of water is in a stream, pond, or river.

In your home, in regards to you and your family's health, people just don't want to settle for water that has been stripped of minerals. Everyone wants the best for their families and themselves, and they would all agree with the studies and their findings. Reverse osmosis water is simply not a long term solution. Drinking water should be both nutritious and affordable. You shouldn't have to buy water from the store and haul it home. Now there's a premium option: Water-Revolution's delicious alkaline water for your entire family, right from your own faucet or refrigerator.

DirectConnect™ Installation

DirectConnect™ Installation

AlkaDirect's New DirectConnect™ SystemEasy DirectConnect™ Alkaline Water System Installation - about 10 minutes Water-Revolution's new DirectConnect™  System is designed so that the high quality equipment installation is fun, simple and easy! Simply install the system under the counter directly into the tubing (called a faucet riser tube) that's already used to flow water to your existing faucet. 99% of all faucets have faucet risers that connect using a 3/8" compression nut at the Cold Water Supply Valve location. All that's needed is a small well designed adjustable crescent wrench to loosen and tighten these nuts to make connections. I say small wrench, because of tight clearance issues underneath sinks. A wrench with a smaller handle size is often more desirable and a very good one is included with every DirectConnect™ system. Here's the simple steps to follow for typical installation of the DirectConnect™ System:

  1. Place some old large bath towels on the floor of the cabinet to lean on.
  2. Use a small bucket or stove pot as a way to catch the small amount of excess water that will run off from hoses when they're disconnected.
  3. TURN OFF (turn Clockwise) the Chrome cold water supply valve, typically located on the right side of your sink base cabinet.  Test water at the faucet to make sure its off and the Cold Water was the correct valve.  *You should still be getting Hot Water at the tap.
  4. Use the included adjustable crescent wrench to turn and loosen the metal nut that connects the faucet riser tube to the Chrome Cold Water Supply Valve.  *Water will drip from this loosened connection! Run the dripping water into the small catch bucket or stove pot.
  5. Attach the steel braided high pressure tubing (included with device) directly onto the chrome supply valve, working carefully to ensure that you do not cross thread the nut. Once the nut is positioned squarely on the threads, then you can tighten firmly until embedded rubber o-ring is tight.
  6. Attach other end of steel braided tubing to Brass male connector on INLET side of water device. Tighten squarely and firmly using same procedure as previous Step 5.
  7. If a water Vortisizer™ magnetic - crystal energy water vortexing device is desired (sold separately) it should now be installed in between the DirectConnect™ device and the existing faucet riser tube.
  8. Use another one or two sections of steel braided tubing together with required brass coupling nipples (all included) to connect exit end of water device to existing cold water side faucet riser tube. *This was the tube that was disconnected previously in Step 4.
  9. TURN ON and open (turn counter clockwise) the Chrome Cold Water Supply Valve.
  10. You should now have a new continuous water circuit that flows all cold water at sink faucet through the DirectConnect™ device. Enjoy your delicious alkaline energized drinking water!
